Catch the moon at its best.
In the app, Moon Details names tonight's best time to look, with a plain-language cloud forecast from Apple Weather.
What aluni shows you
A month of moon phases at a glance.
The lunar calendar shows every phase of the month, with supermoons and micromoons marked. Long-press any day for a quick peek.
A clock built around the sky.
The dial compresses and stretches with the real length of day and night. Longer days fill more of the face. The sun and moon hands move in real time.
Widgets, Lock Screen, and Apple Watch.
Many widget styles and 12 hand-crafted themes: 3 free, and 9 more with aluni+, the optional upgrade. Lock Screen scenes where the sun and moon ride a real skyline, plus complications for your watch face.
- Your real horizon, not a guess. aluni knows the hills and ridges around you, so viewing times account for what's really in the way. The skyline is drawn right under the moon's path.
- Find the moon in the sky. Can't spot it? Turn your phone like a compass, and soft clicks guide you straight to the moon.
- Reminders on your Lock Screen. Set a reminder for tonight's best window, and watch it count down in a Live Activity on your Lock Screen.
- Moon phase, rise, and set. See where the moon is in its cycle and how much of it is lit, plus sunrise, sunset, moonrise, and moonset with countdowns to the next one.
- Quiet alerts. A daily moon report, moonrise and moonset nudges 55 minutes ahead, and alerts for full moons, new moons, and crescents. Turn on only the ones you want.
- No ads. No clutter. No tracking. No account needed, and nothing that identifies you is tracked. All sky math runs on your device, so the clock works offline.

Questions & Answers
Is aluni free?
Yes. aluni is free to download and use, with 3 themes and all core sky data included at no cost. aluni+ is optional, as a yearly subscription or a one-time lifetime purchase. It unlocks 9 more themes, Lock Screen landscape scenes, and worldwide location search. There are no ads either way.
Does aluni track my location or personal data?
No. aluni calculates moon and sun positions on your device, using a location you choose or allow. There is no account and no tracking of anything that identifies you. When aluni checks the weather or your skyline, it shares only a rounded area, never your exact spot.
Does aluni work offline?
Yes. All celestial calculations (moon phase, sun and moon positions, rise and set times) run on your device, so the clock works without an internet connection. Two extras use a connection when one is available: the cloud forecast, and your real skyline the first time you view a new place.
Which devices and OS versions does aluni support?
aluni runs on iPhone with iOS 17 or later and on iPad with iPadOS 17 or later. The Apple Watch app and complications need watchOS 10 or later.
